Trouble Rocks Actors Guild of Nigeria As Emeka Ike Challenges New AGN President, Ibinabo Fiberesima

It seems like the storm is not over with the Actors Guild of Nigeria as there is yet another unfolding drama. The new president of the Guild, Ibinabo Fiberesima has been accused by her fellow colleague, Emeka Ike of being an ex-convict. The actor has allegedly been behind the travails currently being experienced by the guild. Under his very constant ministrations, the former president of the guild, Segun Arinze handed over his resignation following series of botched elections. Sources also allege that Emeka Ike organized the arrest the Vice Chairman of the AGN’s Board of Trustees,Emma Oguguah. According to the actor, the Vice Chairman had ‘no right‘ to conduct an election. He has also decided to challenge the current head of the guild Ibinabo. According to sources, she reached out to him on a reconciliatory turf only to have him rebuff her, reminding her of the manslaughter case she was involved in. In 2009, the actress was involved in a drunken driving manslaughter case involving one doctor Suraj Giwa . No one can categorically say why Emeka Ike has a bone to pick with the authorities of the guild. According to him, he has no intention of ruling the guild but will not let it be ruled by ‘people like Emma’ and apparently Ibinabo too. We watch as the drama unfolds…..
